Olaitan graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Nigeria with a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Distinction) in 2010. Following her internship programme and National Youth Service, she completed a Master’s Degree Programme in Pharmacology at OAU, Ile-Ife, Nigeria in 2014. Olaitan got employed as an assistant lecturer in OAU during her Master’s degree programme (2013) and later became a lecturer II in 2014 where she taught courses in Pharmacology amidst other academic-related responsibilities. On the RCSI Clement Archer Ph.D Scholarship in 2017, Olaitan proceeded to the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), Dublin for a Ph.D programme in Neuropharmacology which she completed in 2021. Her Ph.D thesis was titled ‘Insulin resistance and antidepressant effectiveness: insight from clinical and pre-clinical studies’. She has co-authored on a number of publications.
