Ulysses Neuroscience Ltd is a private research organisation based in The Institute of Neuroscience (TCIN) at Trinity College Dublin and in the Department of Chemistry at Maynooth University, Ireland. We are a patient-centric company with our roots deeply anchored on foundations of ground-breaking science and translational high-quality research in neurological, neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders.

The Administrative Assistant will be based in TCIN to work as part of a multidisciplinary and international team which undertakes scientific research. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth running of a shared office including all office management related tasks. The position requires excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise and manage multiple, diverse responsibilities and to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Previous experience in administrative tasks is preferred
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Strong organisation and planning skills
  • Great attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated, showing initiative and creative thinking, with a proactive, resourceful attitude to problem solving and solution implementation
  • Willingness to learn, share responsibilities, facilitate collaboration, and support the success of others: a team player and an advocate of our company values
  • Ability to build successful relationships with all levels of internal staff and external partners

Responsibilities

  • To perform this role successfully the post holder must carry out the following responsibilities;
  • Company diary management including co-ordination of internal and external meetings, on-site and off-site conferences, staff meetings and events
  • Providing effective and efficient administration support to our rapidly growing team including placing orders and managing invoices
  • Managing and maintaining the office budget

Desirable Requirements:

  • A primary qualification in administration (or related discipline) is preferred
  • Knowledge of other languages such as Italian, French, Spanish and/or Japanese
